Supportive Services
-
We operate daily drop in shelters as well as short-term stay shelters that offer a path to permanent housing.
-
Housing support options include temporary shelter, eviction prevention, supportive housing, rapid rehousing, veteran housing, youth homelessness support, and more.
-
HopeSource operates more than 1000 units of affordable housing in four counties throughout Central Washington. We seek to retain and increase affordable housing stock in the counties we serve whenever possible.
-
We believe the ability to pay heating and cooling bills should not prevent anyone from being safe and comfortable in their home. Our Energy Assistance Program helps individuals pay their heating and cooling bills, whether it’s electricity, gas, oil, propane, wood, or wood pellets.
-
Weatherization is the modification of buildings and homes to become more energy efficient through conservation measures such as air sealing and adding insulation. All homes are analyzed with the "building as a system" diagnostic approach which examines the house as one working unit to ensure safety and maximize energy efficiency. Weatherization improvements create a more safe and comfortable living space as well as lower utility bills.
-
HopeSource scholarships can help pay for music lessons, art classes, dance, gymnastics, swim lessons, sports leagues, day camps and more for children up to age 18. The scholarship can also be used to purchase equipment for a specific activity.
-
Hope University offers free classes for people who want to improve life skills but lack the resources to do so. We offer group workshops and 1:1 coaching to teach life, family, and money management skills.
-
Funds may be available to meet needs that our programs and partners do not cover (like gas vouchers, bus passes, or car repair). Our single, simple application connects you with other programs that can provide effective solutions.
-
HopeSource is part of a vital network of food banks in Kittitas County that help people in need receive additional nutritional support. HopeSource operates a food bank at our Cle Elum location that serves all of Upper County! We stock produce, pantry staples, meats, pet food, hygiene products, and more.
-
HopeSource Transit System is free, promoting greater self-sufficiency for all Kittitas County residents. And we believe public transportation should be safe and reliable, too.
-
Our team can help you connect with additional resources in the community such as legal, physical and mental health, substance use disorder, insurance, childcare, and more.
“Having faced alcoholism and homelessness I am so very proud and happy to say with over 2 years sober our family is healing and on the right path.”
